Hello! I am so glad you're here and taking the first step toward seeking counseling for yourself or your child. My counseling approach is warm, validating, and collaborative. I aim to create an engaging and supportive environment, meeting clients where they are and adapting my approach to fit their unique needs.
I am passionate about working with children, adolescents, and young adults. I have extensive experience working with children ages four and up, as well as teenagers navigating complex and transitional phases of life. When working with younger clients, I value collaboration with parents to support treatment at home while also respecting developmentally appropriate client autonomy.
I am trained in trauma-informed care and view all of my clinical work through a trauma-informed lens. I often utilize CBT, ACT, DBT, play-based, and strengths-based approaches while maintaining an open, person-centered space. I believe everyone has a unique set of strengths, and together we can identify and build on them to navigate life's challenges.
I am from the Indianapolis area and recently moved to Cincinnati. I grew up dancing and continued this in college as both a dancer and choreographer. In my free time, I enjoy using dance as a form of expression and have found movement to be a valuable tool for regulating the nervous system. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychological Sciences, with minors in American Sign Language and Human Development, from Purdue University. I am currently attending the University of Cincinnati, where I will earn my Master's in Counseling next May. All of my work is supervised by Joey Oakwood, LPCC-S.
